We appreciate that replacing your windows is typically a once in a lifetime event. With that in mind, at Brothers, we offer as “standard” what other companies offer as optional upgrade packages. Since glass is the major part of every window, offering a great window without using an efficient glass package simply makes no sense. This is why we made the following glass package a standard part of all our BHI Extreme Series windows and doors as opposed to having to upgrade to obtain the best in energy efficiency. The following glass package comes standard with all our windows and doors.
Triple Silver Coat LoE
This low Emissivity glass has an unprecedented triple layer of silver which is setting a new standard far beyond ordinary low-E glass. It offers the ideal balance of solar control and high visibility and highest levels of year-round comfort and energy savings.
Super Spacer®
Our seal between the two panes of glass is the best in “warmedge” technology, the Super Spacer®, manufactured by Edgetech I.G., Inc., in Cambridge, Ohio. A structural foam, non-metal window spacer system which dramatically improves window performance, and has revolutionized the insulating glass window and door industry across North America and is now sold and recognized worldwide. *1 U-factor represents the amount of heat transfer measured in acordance with NFRC 100-2001. Calculation uses total window unit, and assumes 3/4" glazing with a 1/2" airspace. The Lower the better.
*2 Solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC) measures the amount of solar radiation entering the building, as measured per NFRC 200-2001 with the Window 4.1 and Frame 4.1 modeling programs. The Lower the better.
