Pet Doors
Brothers offers 2 different options with pet doors.
Option 1A separate panel inserted into our patio door frames by shrinking the existing panels to accommodate the pet door panel as depicted below. Unlike standard pet door add-ons where one of the existing door panels stays partially open to accommodate the new pet door panel, our custom pet doors are specially built by shrinking the existing panels to allow for the pet door panel within the same patio door frame thereby providing our customers with a completely closed and air tight door.
(i.e. A 2 panel door becomes a 3 panel door as depicted below.)
Option 2
A 2 panel door stays with the existing 2 panels and the glass on one of the panels is replaced with an actual pet door. This option has the advantage of being able to remove the pet door in the future by simply replacing the glass on one of the panels.
The drawback is that the screen door needs to be opened when the patio door is closed so that it doesn't block the pet's exit.
